Disclosures

Last updated: May 1, 2026 · Currently available to licensed clinicians in the United States.

This page consolidates the material disclosures clinicians, compliance officers, and procurement teams ask about most often.

1. Regulatory status

Cited is qualified as Non-Device Clinical Decision Support under the 21st Century Cures Act § 3060 (codified 21 U.S.C. § 360j). Cited has not sought, and does not require, FDA 510(k) clearance for the current product. See the AI Disclaimer for the four qualifying criteria and how the product satisfies each one.

2. Ownership and corporate structure

Cited is owned and operated by THE HUB INITIATIVE SLU, a Sociedad Limitada Unipersonal incorporated in the Principality of Andorra. Registered office: Avinguda Doctor Mitjavila 26, AD500 Andorra La Vella. Andorran tax registration number (NRT): A8-552836-Y.

The company is bootstrapped. There are no venture capital, private equity, or strategic investors with any equity, board representation, or contractual influence over the product.

Because the data controller is established in Andorra, Cited's processing of personal data is also subject to the Llei qualificada 29/2021 de protecció de dades personals and supervised by the Agència Andorrana de Protecció de Dades (APDA). For the full Andorran-law disclosure, including data subject rights and how to lodge a complaint with the APDA, see our Data Protection Statement. HIPAA continues to apply to all clinical processing as the platform serves US licensed clinicians.

3. No conflicts of interest

  • No pharmaceutical manufacturer holds equity, advisory compensation, or any contractual influence.
  • No health insurer, managed care organization, or pharmacy benefit manager has any financial relationship with Cited.
  • No advertiser, data broker, or marketing reseller funds the platform.
  • The recommendation engine ranks evidence purely by replication score, source authority, and clinical match — not by any commercial relationship.

See /no-conflict-of-interest for the full ethical positioning statement.

4. Founder disclosure

Cited was founded by Emilio Lobo, clinical psychologist and doctoral researcher in Andorra. Founder publication list and current research affiliations are available on request to [email protected].

5. Data sources

The Cited evidence corpus draws from:

  • PubMed / NLM (US National Library of Medicine, public domain).
  • OpenAlex (CC0 open dataset; author and affiliation enrichment).
  • Cochrane Library (licensed access).
  • Semantic Scholar API (free).
  • CrossRef (free).

  • VA/DoD Clinical Practice Guidelines (US Government public domain).
  • NICE guidelines (UK NHS public).
  • WHO mhGAP (public).

6. AI training disclosure

Reasoning engines are trained exclusively on the corpus listed above, plus internal curation. Patient data, session content, and clinical notes are never used to train AI models. Patient data is segregated at the database layer (Patient Privacy Firewall, ADR-036).

7. Independent audits

  • SOC 2 Type II — audit in progress, expected Q3 2026.
  • Penetration test — annual, by independent third-party. Executive summary available under NDA.
  • Vulnerability scanning — quarterly DAST + SAST per release.

8. Geographic availability

Cited is currently available only to licensed mental health professionals in the United States. International availability has not yet been launched. Spain, EU, LATAM, and other markets are on the roadmap, subject to regulatory and data residency review.

9. Marketing claims

All quantitative claims on cited.health (number of papers indexed, number of paradigm engines, compliance coverage, etc.) are auditable. Source documentation and methodology are available on written request to [email protected].

10. Conflict reporting

If you believe you have identified an undisclosed conflict of interest, source bias, or marketing claim that requires substantiation, email [email protected]. We acknowledge reports within 2 business days.
